Who We Are

Venetian Isles is a tranquil deed-restricted community with approximately 533 waterfront homes built on man-made islands connected by a series of bridges.

Venetian Isles is coveted for its beautifully manicured landscaping, water views, friendly community and close proximity to downtown St. Petersburg. This highly sought-after neighborhood is a favorite for boaters due to our deep-water canals designed for both sailboat and power boat access.

Homeowners Association

The Venetian Isles Homeowners Association (V.I.H.A.) is chartered to enhance and preserve the beauty of Venetian Isles and its property values by enforcing deed restrictions and undertaking beautification projects.

The Homeowners Association brings the community together through our email newsletter, homeowner directory, community yard sale, Oktoberfest block party,  golf, fishing & baseball outings and other neighborhood events.

The V.I.H.A. Board and Committees are comprised of residents who volunteer their time to support the community.

The annual membership is voluntary.

Our History

George R. Davis, a major developer on the Suncoast in the 1950s, was the  “spark plug” in the development of Venetian Isles by obtaining the deed to the submerged waters of Tampa Bay that would become  Venetian Isles in 1959 for $34,412.50.

Actual development of homes did not start until 1968 due to construction and financial problems encountered by the various developers of Venetian Isles.  Sibley Homes completed development of the remaining lots in the early 1970's.  The authority and responsibility of maintaining and enforcing the deed restrictions was turned over to the Venetian Isles Homeowners Association., Inc. in 1970.

Venetian Isles was developed as a submerged water landfill project built at an elevation of approximately 5-7 feet above the natural shoreline.
