Prepare St. Pete!
Did You Know that much of the Sunshine City lies in evacuation zones? The City of St. Petersburg has launched Prepare, St. Pete, a new interactive map that helps residents understand their flood risk. Users can enter their address and view detailed flood zone, floodplain and evacuation information. The map also displays "active crane zones" to support safe construction planning. Be sure to check all the information available by clicking here with the Prepare St. Pete map.
Don't miss out on Second Saturday Sandbags where you can go each month to our Pavement and Traffic Operations Building located at 1744 9th Ave. N. from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. to pick up 10 sandbags per household! With hurricane season in full swing, the City encourages residents to pick up sandbags before a storm threatens the community.
Regular sandbag distribution location hours are Monday - Friday and the second Saturday of the month from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Residents must provide proof of St. Pete residency to pick up their sandbags. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions.
