9/13/2017

Good Morning Everyone,

I wanted to a brief update on several issues that the city is dealing with. They include:

    •     Duke Energy has informed us that 97,000 residents are without power.
    •     Over 3200 lines are down county wide.
    •     Priorities are essential services, businesses, then residential.
    •     No commitment on when power will be restored.
  •          Debris removal
    •     City crews or contractors will begin curbside or right-of-way pickup next week, no need to call.
    •     Please place the debris off the street in your front yard.
    •     Please separate lawn and garden debris from other debris.
    •     Brush sites will be open until 5:30.
  •          Important telephone numbers
    •     Citizen Information Center          727-893-7111
    •     Police Non Emergency               727-893-7780
    •     Downed power lines                   800-228-8485
    •     Sanitation                                  727-893-7398
  •          Sanitation
    •     Regular Monday service will be picked up today.
    •     Regular Tuesday service will be picked up Wednesday
    •     After Wednesday, service will be back on schedule.
  •          Traffic
    •     Yesterday we had 115 intersections without power.
    •     Today we have 77 intersections without power.
    •     We have placed 100 portable stop signs and 24 generators at intersections.

That is all I have for now. Thank you for your leadership and assistance in helping your neighbors.

Sincerely,

Ed Montanari
