Grand Canal Blvd

The Stormwater Department will be filling in the holes along the brick and seawalls running the length of Grand Canal Blvd.

The permanent improvements are now scheduled to be bid out in March. Possible work to begin in the summer.

There will also be work done near the lift station at Illinois Ave and Grand Canal Blvd.  We called out Teco and Duke this week to re-lay the old pipes that were shallow.

The goal is to have the old Seagrape stumps removed safely ,the area to be filled in and bricks relaid.

At this location there is a High Priority Gas Line that feeds about half of VI. We needed to make sure that this area didn't become a major hazard to the neighborhood.
